The purpose of this article is to provide for the lawful, restrictive operation and
use of golf carts on the city streets designated herein. This article shall not be
construed or interpreted to authorize the operation or use of any golf cart on the
city's streets and/or right-of-ways which is not otherwise authorized by Florida law
or the city.
The rules and regulations set forth in this article are, to some extent, more restrictive
than those set forth in Section 316.212, F.S. in order to protect the health, safety
and general welfare of the citizens of the city in such manner as the city commission
has determined necessary and appropriate. The restrictions and regulations set forth
herein shall apply only to the operation of golf carts as defined in section 11-66, below.
